# Seedream 5.0 product

https://seedream5-ai.com is an independent online workbench that hosts ByteDance's Seedream image models through a third-party inference API. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by ByteDance.

## The models

Seedream 5 is the current-generation image model family from ByteDance. On this site it is exposed as four variants behind one credit balance:

- Seedream 5 Lite — everyday text-to-image and image-to-image
- Seedream 5 Pro — higher-end output
- Seedream 5 Flash — fast drafts
- Seedream 4.5 — the previous generation, still solid

## What the site adds

- A composer on the landing page that hands the prompt off to the dashboard.
- A signed-in workspace where generation, history, and downloads live together.
- Five aspect ratios for both modes: 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 4:3, 16:9.
- Image-to-image mode — one reference image plus a prompt to restyle or edit.
- One credit balance covers all Seedream variants, the other hosted image models, and the video workspace.
- One-step handoff to the video workspace to animate a finished image.

## What the site does not do

- No text-to-video on the image workspace — the video workspace animates a start image.
- No public developer API on this site.
- No free generation without an account — signed-in users get a daily allowance.
- The example images on the marketing pages come from the site's prompt library and were not all made with Seedream 5.
