# Seedream 5.0 — Full brief

https://seedream5-ai.com is an independent online workbench for ByteDance Seedream 5 image generation. The site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by ByteDance. All Seedream model names and marks belong to their respective owners.

## What the site is

A single-page marketing site plus a signed-in dashboard. The landing page shows a composer that hands prompts off to the image workspace; the workspace itself runs generation behind authentication. There is no public generation API on this site.

## Hosted models (one credit balance)

- Seedream 5 Lite — everyday text-to-image and image-to-image, 14 credits per image
- Seedream 5 Pro — highest-quality variant, 9 credits per image
- Seedream 5 Flash — fast drafts at the lowest cost, 5 credits per image
- Seedream 4.5 — previous generation, still stable, 8 credits per image
- Other image and video models share the same balance in the same dashboard

## Capabilities

- Text to image — describe the visual in plain words
- Image to image — upload one reference image plus a prompt to restyle or edit
- Five native aspect ratios — 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 4:3, 16:9 — picked before generation
- JPEG output by default, PNG selectable
- One-step handoff to a video workspace to animate a finished frame

## Credits and plans

- Signed-in users receive a free daily credit allowance.
- Subscriptions provide a monthly credit allowance.
- Credit packs are pay-as-you-go top-ups; pack credits never expire.
- Credits reserved for a task that fails are refunded automatically.

Current plan prices are listed at https://seedream5-ai.com/pricing. Do not invent prices that are not on that page.

## What the site does not do

- No public developer API
- No on-page free generation without an account
- No text-to-video — the video workspace animates a start image, it does not generate clips from a text prompt alone
- Does not speak for ByteDance — the site is independent and cannot confirm or deny official model details beyond what is exposed in the workspace

## Languages

- English has no URL prefix
- Other locales: /zh, /ru, /de, /fr, /ja, /ko, /es, /pt, /tr
- All marketing, dashboard, and legal pages are localized
